Coaching Experience

I have been coaching volleyball since my collegegiate career, coaching multiple camps and tuneups for both indoor and outdoor volleyball. Soon after gradution in 2012 I took on the assistant role at Wisconsin Lutheran College, as well as coaching one on one private volleyball lessons for young girls. I perfect in breaking down each skill for an elevated learning experience.

"Volleyball is fun and exciting! I want my girls to enjoy their time with me but also take away as much information as possible from the hour we share together. I have so much knowledge of the sport because I've played at such a high level for so long. Still to this day I can't get enough of it, I'm always playing and looking to learn more."

A One on One Lesson

A One on One lesson can range from developing basic skills in beginners to helping  prepare elite high school volleyball players interested in pursuing volleyball at the collegegiate level . A lesson can range from focusing on a specific skill or developing multiple skills. In most occasions, more than one lesson is necessary in reaching your goals. Once the skill is perfected, it becomes natural with more repetition.
A One on One lesson typically lasts 1 hour. Group lessons can also be a arranged.

Reviews

UWM Head coach Susie Johnson: Kerri absolutely knows what it takes to become a great volleyball player.  She grew tremendously as a player by listening to coaching and working hard on the court and in the weight room to achieve her goals.  She led the team to NCAA tournament appearances and became the only 2 time Horizon League Player of the Year in history.   She has a great temperament and energy that transcends to each player she coaches.  The best part about Kerri is that she loves the game of volleyball and wants to teach others to love it too.

Chris Patterson (uncle) - “I originally sought out a hitting coach to help my niece with her hitting power, accuracy and consistency. Coach Kerri was not only able to improve my niece’s hitting dramatically in just a few short training sessions, but she has also worked on developing the complete player – breaking down, working on and polishing all aspects of my niece’s overall game. Drawing on her experience as a decorated Division 1 collegiate player, Kerri has shared with my niece many of the subtle nuances of serve/receive, passing, serving, blocking and hitting that frankly my niece has never been exposed to before in five years of organized volleyball.  They’re the types of helpful hints, tips and things to look for that only a former player could have picked up from years of competition at the highest level.  Not only has Kerri’s on-court instruction been both informative as well as comprehensive, but her approach to teaching is always positive and her ability to relate to my niece player-to-player was evident from the very first training session. We can’t thank Kerri enough for all her help, advice and encouragement and would highly recommend her to any player interested in taking their game to that next level.”

Alyssa Miklosy (player) - "Kerri is not only a great technical coach who will teach and perfect you at every aspect of volleyball and make you a versatile player with all her creative drills but she is a great trustworthy person who truely cares about you and your success. Kerri has been there for me ever since my first lesson and today I can consider her one of my best friends and role model."

Jon Kiekhofer (parent) - "Kerri has coached both of my daughters who are at different skill levels and they both love working with her.  She is an outstanding skills coach with an incredible work ethic who pushes them to get better and truly cares about their progress.  She has played volleyball at the highest levels and uses her incredible knowledge of the game to instruct them in becoming far better volleyball players.  I have recommended her to several other parents and they all have commented back to me that they think she is awesome."

Emily Brissette (player) -  "Kerri Schuh is not only the greatest coach I've ever had but she is also a great role model. She has taught me so much on and off the court and has made me a stronger person that I am today. I love that she will be honest with you on how are doing and won't sugar coat it. Kerri is extremly relatable and can make volleyball 10x more fun!"

Matt Miklosy (parent) - 'Kerri is an extremely talented and accomplished volleyball player but what is unique is her ability to teach, fine tune, and communicate both the technical and practical aspect of the game.  Her vision and creativity engages the athlete and opens their eyes to better understand what they need to change and how to apply it in a game.  Her love of volleyball pours out into each athlete she coaches.  She is truly vested in helping them improve their game and helping them realize that they can accomplish more than they thought they ever could.'

UWM assistant coach Lindsay Vandenberg: Kerri was an excellent all-around player for us.  She was a terminator offensively and defensively at the net and her determination and work ethic helped her develop into a primary passer and 6 rotation player for us.  Kerri knows what it takes to compete at a very high level and has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the game.  I have recommended her to several players looking to enhance their volleyball skills and get to the next level.
